Throughout our seven decades of professional practice, Brandow & Johnston has engineered many of the structures in Southern California and beyond. Founded in Los Angeles in 1945, the firm engineered the first height-limited buildings constructed post-WWII.
Since then, we have completed over 35,000 projects, including the first over-height building allowed by ordinance, the first all-welded structural steel office building, and the City’s first next generation high-rise: The Wilshire Grand Center.
At Brandow & Johnston, we listen intently to understand clients’ needs, and we are committed to their success. Our engineering services are proven, responsive, and in line with client schedules and budgets.
Our multi-disciplinary professionals work diligently to design and engineer structures to current code requirements, while offering innovative solutions to unique project challenges.
Our executive leadership team has nurtured a rich heritage at Brandow & Johnston that brings generations of professionals together to create great buildings.
Established 75 years ago in Downtown Los Angeles, Brandow & Johnston has built on a rock-solid foundation of experience and client service to become a leader in Southern California in structural, civil, seismic, and forensic engineering.
